MBC2K Motor Brake Controller for braking DC and Brushless Motors

The solution for DC Motors that do not have internal brake controllers.

  • The MBC2K module switches a DC or brushless motor to an external braking resistor to reduce the braking time when it is switched off by the motor drive.  
  • When a DC or brushless motor is switched off it generates a voltage higher than their supply rated voltage.
  • This higher voltage is detected by MBC2K voltage detector, which then switches to the external braking resistor to shorten the braking time allowing faster working cycles.  
  • An external braking resistor is required.
