ASI Universal Modular Switches
ASI limit and safety switches are designed to satisfy every requirement for quick installation, wiring ease, simple set-up, modularity, sturdiness and long-life reliability. Check out the many features that have now been made available with these limit and safety switches, making your job easier and giving you a more reliable product.
To start with, the limit and safety switch body cover features a captive screw that will never get lost during installation and wiring as well as having a hinged cover that can be removed completely, allowing better access for the wiring technician during installation.
Next, one of the most user friendly features of the ASI limit and safety switches is the ability to totally remove the contact blocks during wiring. If you have ever tried to wire a limit switch with fixed contacts you can appreciate the benefit and convenience of this feature. "No more wasted time or frustration with wiring up the limit switch". Just remove the contacts, insert the wire into the screw clamp terminals, make your termination and your installation time is reduced dramatically! The contacts are available in combinations of two or three contacts, with snap action or slow break functioning.
The innovative bayonet locking mechanism incorporated in these switches allows for ease of adjusting, as well as the changing or removal of any of the wide range of operator heads, with no special tools required to perform these functions! The housings are available in both metal and plastic versions. The wide range of operating heads are made completely of metal to insure a long life and, as mentioned, they are completely interchangeable in the same housings. This makes for a more organized and cost-effective method of maintaining an inventory, insuring parts availability while keeping your costs down. There are 12 different families with hundreds of completed switch part numbers and if it is more convenient you can purchase the housings, operating heads and contacts all as separate items.
In addition to being modular, the operating heads offer a 45° adjustment, while at the same time the lever can be positioned in 15° increments for complete 360° rotational adjustment. These features give you an unlimited range of possibilities to address any type of application that requires a limit or safety switch.
