The ASI Multiple Level PCB Terminal Blocks in 2 and 3 positions are used to maximize the amount of wiring that you can achieve in the least amount of space on the printed circuit board. They are available in 2 and 3 level models with interlocking housings side to side and front to back depending on the version you select. The industry standard pin spacings of 3.5 mm, 3.81 mm, 5 mm, and 5.08 mm ensure that whether you have an existing application or new one, ASI has the product to fit your design. The 2 and 3 level PCB terminal blocks from ASI utilize captive metal parts, nickel plated metal bodies, UL 94V0 housings and the front to back interlocking housing feature allows you to have a front row of connections up off of the printed circuit board. The different levels are offset from each other to make wiring easy and the offset is available either to the left or right to meet your PCB design. Standard height and low-profile models are available and the 2 and 3 position models allow you to maintain reduced inventory since the housings interlock to build any number of wiring positions in an assembly.
The ASI Raised Level PCB Terminal Blocks are essentially the 2nd and 3rd level of a multiple level PCB terminal that have been designed to be used separately on the printed circuit board. By using these raised level PCB terminal blocks you can position the wiring up off of the printed circuit board and over components that may be in the way if you were to use a traditional PCB terminal block. Other uses of these raised PCB terminal blocks is that they can be used in applications where you might be using a potting material and you do not want to damage the wiring integrity of the terminal block. In applications where you need to have a high level block protruding out of the equipment or instrument enclosure or where the wire access due to enclosure design needs to be above the PCB these raised level terminal blocks meet the need.
